What is CCH?
We are Christian Campus House...
Christian Campus House was founded by Christian churches in the Springfield area in 1977 to provide fellowship, teaching, counsel, worship, and opportunities for service to college students in Springfield. For over 30 years now, Christian Campus House (CCH) has been a spiritual home to thousands of students. In any given semester, CCH will include mature believers growing in their faith, new Christians who are just getting their feet wet, and seekers who are trying to figure out if this God thing is for real. CCH seeks to be a place where all these people can come together to love God and to love each other.
We are Focused on Relationships...
We know that much of your life on campus is shaped by who you surround yourself with. Obviously you are going to make new friends in your “college years.” Why not seek out friends who you can lean on, friends who will cry and celebrate with you all the same? At CCH we don’t promise you friends or make you pay to hang out with us, but we do promise you real conversations, real teaching and a real good time. Because CCH is a community of students who feel friendship is extremely important, we offer a wide variety of “friend-friendly” opportunities: See our CCHCommunities page for more info on these great opportunities!
- SmallGroups – 8-10 students meeting weekly to talk, encourage, and challenge and pray with one another.
- ServiceOpps – Groups of students heading out into the community to offer various types of services (i.e. Boy’s and Girl’s Club, Random Acts of Kindness, Springfield’s Victory Mission, etc.)
- 8:01 Bible Study – Our big group Bible Study, held on campus every week in the Plaster Student Union (PSU). Worship, Bible Teaching and Fellowship.
- OTC Bible Studies – Free lunch and Bible Study at the Springfield and Richwood Valley OTC Campuses.
We are Focused on the Big Picture...
CCH is committed to the Big Picture of what God is doing all over the world. We offer numerous opportunities for students to get out of Springfield and span the globe, spreading the Good News of Christ.
- Spring Break Adventure: Over spring break each year CCH heads south to work with several churches around Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. We have been doing this trip for over 15 years! Join us Spring Break ’11 and you just might have the time of your life.
- Summer 2011: Trips are being prayed over and planned. Lord willing we will take a group to Eastern Europe for the second time, and another group to North Africa. Are you headed overseas with us next summer? Start praying!
- CCH Alumni: Campus House has alumni all over the globe spreading the Good News. Check out our CCHConnections page to see some organizations we support and have worked with. You can also reconnect with your old chums from CCH in our Springfield, MO CCH Alumni Group on Facebook!
We would love for you to join us for any of our great weekly activities and/or any of our other events. Come check us out and you just might make some of the best friends of your life!
Where is CCH?
Christian Campus House is located just west of the Missouri State Campus on Monroe Street. We are only a block away from the new JQH Arena and two blocks from Plaster Football Stadium. Our offices are open daily and the newly renovated "GroundHog" is nextdoor for hang out time as well.
Why CCH?
"Christian Campus House seeks to provide a caring fellowship where college age people can find and expand their relationship with God and learn to be doers of the Word."
This is our mission statement, but it is also more than words. For over 30 years, we have seen hundreds of students find fellowship, encouragement, teaching from God's Word, counsel, training, service, and excitement about being a part of the body of Christ. Many of those students have gone on to serve in the mission field and various forms of ministry. Many others are putting their faith into practice in law, medicine, education, business, social services, and multiple other fields. Dozens of former CCH Students serve actively in the leadership of their local congregations and have their hands in a variety of community efforts.
So why CCH? Why not live your life for something more? These are the best years of your life, and that’s true. But you can waste them just as much as any others as well. Want more? Check us out. Get involved and start your journey with us this semester.
