Frequently Asked Questions

Christian Campus House is a student ministry for college-age people located in Springfield, Mo.

We are involved at Missouri State, Drury, and OTC (Springfield and Richwood Valley). Students from other schools are welcome, as are all college-age people, whether you are a student or not!

CCH is not a church, though we are generously supported by several congregations in the area. We do have a weekly gathering like a church, which meets on Tuesdays. We encourage our students to get involved in a local congregation so that they can get involved, learn, and grow with a church family.

Although CCH was started and supported by non-denominational Christian churches, we welcome students from all denominational backgrounds. We consistently have students involved who come from faith backgrounds such as non-denominational, Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Assemblies of God, Presbyterian, and none of the above!

Any college-age person can be involved in CCH. It doesn’t matter if you are a student or not. If you have been a Christian for your entire life, or if you are hearing about Jesus for the first time, you are welcome at CCH.

8:01 is our weekly, large-group worship and Bible study that starts at 8pm on Tuesdays. During the Fall and Spring semesters we meet at the Plaster Student Union at Missouri State. During the Summer, we meet at the CCH facilities.

Connect Groups are weekly small-group gatherings that take place during the Fall and Spring semesters. They are a place to study the Bible, grow closer to friends, and serve the community.

While we have housing for up to 10 students, housing is not our main objective. We want to connect with college-age people to pursue Jesus together.

There is no formal membership process. If you want to join us, all you have to do is show up. We don’t require any sort of sign up or membership dues. We just want to hang out with you!

CCH is absolutely free! We don’t require membership dues or fees. We do charge for some things, like retreats and trips, but our week-to-week activities are free.

Our weekly, large-group worship and Bible study is on Tuesday nights at 8 PM in the Plaster Student Union at Missouri State University (usually the Ballroom on the third floor). We also have Connect Groups (small groups) and service opportunities meeting throughout the week.

Our weekly, large-group worship and Bible study is on Tuesday nights at 8 PM in the Plaster Student Union at Missouri State University (usually the Ballroom on the third floor). During the summer, we meet at our facilities just west of campus. Even if you are not an MSU student, you are welcome to join us on campus. Check out the driving and parking instructions.

Christian Campus House receives no funding from Missouri State University, Ozarks Technical Community College, nor any of the other colleges we serve. We are funded by churches and individuals who believe that one’s college years are vital to one’s spiritual development, and who want students to have the opportunity to know God and to grow up spiritually as they are growing in other ways during their years of higher education.

More than half our support comes from alumni of the ministry who were blessed by their time with Christian Campus House and want others to have those same opportunities. Christian Campus Ministry of Springfield is our legal, incorporated name, and we are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
