What is CCH?

Christian Campus House seeks to provide a caring fellowship where college-age people can find and expand their relationship with God and learn to be Doers of the Word.

For the past 40 years,  hundreds of students have found fellowship, encouragement, teaching from God’s Word, counsel, training, service, and excitement about being a part of the body of Christ.

Many of those students have gone on to serve on the mission field and in various forms of ministry.  Many others are practicing their faith in the fields of law, medicine, education, business, social services, and more. Dozens of former CCH students serve as leaders of their local congregations and are involved in a variety of community efforts.

College is a pivotal stage of life. We encourage students to spend these years growing in their relationship with God and others, and being a part of what God is doing in the world.

Christian Campus House was founded by Christian churches in the Springfield, MO area in 1977 to provide fellowship, teaching, counsel, worship, and opportunities for service to college students at Missouri State University, Ozarks Technical Community College (Springfield and Richwood Valley), Drury University, Cox School of Nursing and a variety of other campuses in Springfield. Since that time, Christian Campus House (CCH) has been a spiritual home to thousands of students.

Christian Campus House is financially supported by dozens of  Christian churches from around the Midwest, as well as CCH alumni who believe in our ongoing mission. Without such tremendous support, Campus House would be ineffective in ministering to college students in the Springfield area.

Although CCH was started and supported by non-denominational Christian churches, we welcome students from all denominational backgrounds. We consistently have students involved who come from faith backgrounds such as non-denominational, Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Assemblies of God, Presbyterian, and none of the above!

Though CCH does most of its ministry on the various campuses it serves, we do have permanent office space, student meeting areas, and housing for up to ten students. We are located a block west of MSU’s campus on Bear Boulevard.

In any given semester, CCH will involve mature believers growing in their faith, new Christians who are just getting their feet wet, and seekers who are searching for truth. We offer a variety of service opportunities, small group Bible studies, and mission trips.  CCH seeks to be a place where all types of college-age people can come together to love God and to love each other.
